The M&A Forum introduces Buyers and Sellers of IT sector companies for the purpose of initiating M&A transactions.
Here are the steps in our process:
- Create your Seller profile and agree to Terms of Use
- Review and execute our Finders Agreement
- Buyers request an introduction - you receive the Buyer profile and NDA
- If you want to meet the Buyer, execute the NDA
- Buyer receives your contact information
- Buyer contacts you or may decline to go further

Profile - Our team of experts at M&A Forum will help you edit your company profile to ensure your value is clearly communicated while keeping your company identity blind.
Presentation - You may want to use a short presentation about your company in your buyer meetings. Meetings are best used to discuss the potential for a transaction, but an overview of your business in a professional format is a good tool to express your value. M&A Forum will provide you with a template to prepare a presentation that introduces your firm and positions you with the buyer.
Managed Introductions - Our process will manage the introduction between Seller and Buyer ensuring both parties execute a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Communication will be via the method you select in your member profile and the process protects your identity until you choose to meet a buyer.
Follow-up Communications - M&A Forum will follow-up with both parties after an introduction to ensure discussions are continuing at an appropriate pace. Momentum is critical to completing a transaction and time is the enemy of most deals.

M&A Forum offers additional services to market your company to buyers. These offerings supplement our online exchange with offline services to ensure Buyers are actively contacted and presented with your company information; and that you are prepared and supported for your meetings.
Services are provided by our team drawing from our ten-year experience in M&A during which we have closed nearly 70 transactions with IT sector companies in North America, Europe and Asia. You can choose the level of service that is right for you and continue to use your own team of advisors.
Online Service - $495.00
The Online Service is the package of services listed above including:
- M&A Forum online listing for 6 months
- Profile review and editing by our M&A Forum team
- Presentation template for your use to develop meeting materials
Valuation Service - $7,500.00
The Valuation Service is designed for companies that require a formal valuation of their business. Our research reports on public company valuations and recent transactions can provide you with a general idea of the current market and valuation ranges for businesses in your category. The valuation service will provide a comprehensive valuation of your business based on information you provide. Formal valuations are not required for the sale of a business but are used in the following situations:
- Creation of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
- Preparation to bring on a partner
- Dissolution of a partnership
- Family legal matters
- Securing new debt instrument
- Investment by an equity partner
Managed Service - $22,500.00
The Managed Service is an offering to actively market your company to Buyers that are acquisitive and looking for targets in your sector. The offering includes a targeted campaign to known buyers executed by our professional associates. The service includes:
- M&A Forum online listing for 12 months
- Profile review and editing by our M&A Forum team
- Review and recasting of financial data for presentation to Buyers
- Valuation analysis, range definition and supporting material
- Targeted email marketing of your confidential company profile to potential Buyers
- Calls by our professional associates to each Buyer to follow-up on profile
- Preparation of professional company presentation demonstrating your value to Buyers
- Managed introductory calls with interested Buyers (scheduling of calls, agenda for meeting, materials preparation)
- Coaching from our professional staff on meeting management, company positioning, negotiations, process management
- Optional participation in our electronic data-room service (additional fee will apply)
- Preparation for discussions and exchange of documents with Buyer
Advisory Service - $32,750.00
The Advisory Service provides management of your M&A process by one of our Vice Presidents. The offering includes the services provided at the Managed Service level with a wider scope to the marketing campaign and the participation of your VP advisor in Buyer calls and meetings. The service includes:
- M&A Forum online listing for 12 months
- Profile review and editing by our M&A Forum team
- Review and recasting of financial data for presentation to Buyers
- Valuation analysis, range definition and supporting material
- Targeted email marketing of your confidential company profile to potential Buyers
- Calls by our professional associates to each Buyer to follow-up on profile
- Editing of your company presentation demonstrating your value to Buyers
- Managed introductory calls with interested Buyers (scheduling of calls, agenda for meeting, materials preparation)
- Coaching from our professional staff on meeting management, company positioning, negotiations, process management
- Participation in calls and web meetings with interested Buyers
- Participation in up to three in-person meetings with Buyers (plus approved travel expenses)
